American Sports Brand
Goals
The overall
aim of the current project is to:
Enhance and create a deeper understanding of U.S. society, culture and values among a multinational group of
undergraduate students through an intensive and thorough study
that leads to an understanding of the formation, development and business
practices of the American Sports Brand.
The specific
goals of the program are fourfold:
Goal 1: Provide opportunities for undergraduate
students to obtain actionable knowledge of the background and
foundations of the American Sports Brand (Module I).
Goal 2: Provide opportunities for talented
undergraduate students to obtain actionable knowledge of the
United States sports industry as a major and successful business
(Module II).
Goal 3: Provide opportunities for undergraduate
students to obtain actionable knowledge of the various
environmental influences (e.g., legal issues, globalization,
women’s sports development) that have shaped and continue to
evolve the American Sports Brand into a world-class
sports industry model (Module III).
Goal 4: Develop strong bilateral professional
relationships between American students, faculty, and working
industry professionals and students from participating
countries that will lead to future collaborations in industry,
education, and scholarship beyond the timeframe of the exchange
program.
